Turning 60 and Living With Intention

I recently turned 60 and I was fortunate to celebrate by enjoying 2 weeks in Hawaii with my U.S. Naval Academy roommates. My best friends.

Fun times with friends are always a great way to create lasting memories and strengthen your bond.

We had meaningful conversations about living intentionally and enjoying every moment.

Intentional living is a mindset and lifestyle choice where you make conscious decisions and actions to align your life with your values, passions, and goals.

It involves being mindful and purposeful in how you live, focusing on what truly matters to you, and making choices that support your well-being and personal growth.

When my college roommates and I were in the midst of our careers and raising our children, focusing on ourselves was a luxury we felt we could not afford.

We were strong and independent. We had to be to graduate from the U.S. Naval Academy in the 6th class of women!

We pushed through. We didn’t ask for help. We tried to handle it all.

Here’s to creating memories with friends and family this summer!

I’ve learned that it takes strength to let this go. To ask for help. To discover our own inherent value. To love ourselves and know we are awesome just the way we are – not because of our job title.
